Occidental Cozumel, Cozumel

Our stay at the resort was an adventure filled with exotic experiences. The ambiance was truly tropical, which made our winter escape comfortable and enjoyable. While the accommodations were nice and the staff friendly, the dining choices left something to be desired as the food felt a bit repetitive. It’s a hidden gem but with limited evening activities and long wait times at the bar, it may not be for everyone.

I had a pretty good experience overall at the hotel. The location is fantastic with easy access to the beach, and the resort is clean and well-maintained. However, the dining options could use some improvement, and securing a spot by the pool can be a bit tricky during busy times. Notably, I also encountered some issues with service that I didn’t expect from a higher-rated place.

My experience at this resort was a mixed bag. While the location is beautiful and ideal for diving, the overall dining experience was quite disappointing with repetitive food options and service that left much to be desired. The beach area was nice yet had its limitations, and I found the rooms in need of an upgrade. Overall, I can’t say I would return without significant changes in management and food quality.

However, I found the rooms had excessively firm beds and had issues with time-consuming promotional sales pitches. Also, the dining options were decent, but nothing to rave about.

Overall, the resort offers a decent experience with spacious rooms and a clean environment, but several aspects fell short of our expectations. While the staff provided some good service, dining options were hit-or-miss, and the Wi-Fi needs improvement. The beach was beautiful, but seating was limited and hard to come by during peak hours.
